Fanari island or Mikronisi is one of the two islands that are located across Agios Nikolaos city in Lasithi district and belongs to the geographical region of Crete.

The island seems to take its name from its lighthouse (fanari). Also, the only beach that the island has is undoubtedly its most beautiful part.
