Modinon Palace is located at Rogdia village at Malevizi, almost 16 km from Heraklion.

The Palace during the Venetian domination used to be the tower of the two brothers Giorgios and Fragiskos Modinon, who were the feudal lords of the area.

The Palace of Modinon was declared maintainable and is now the property of the state of Greece.

Next to the Palace, you can see the old church of Evagelismos Theotokou named Chierra Rodea, which has also survived and given the name to the village of Rogdia.
