Elia village is almost 15 kilometers southeast of Heraklion, very close to Kokkini Hani and at 230 meters height.

The village with the beautiful panoramic view at the sea has almost 1000 residents whose occupation is mostly farming and the growth of olive and grape trees.

A place of great interest in this village is the beautiful cave of Eileithia or neraidospilos which is located at the slopes of Karteros valley.
