Asimi village is located about 50 kilometers south of Heraklion, a settlement of 1200 inhabitants, which, as it revealed by finds discovered in the area, has been inhabited since Roman times.
The main occupations of the residents are olive cultivation and viticulture. In the area you can visit the central church that is dedicated to Saint Titus and celebrates every year on August 25th, the chapel of Saint Charalambos and the chapel of Zoodochos Pigi where every year celebrations take place on the second Easter day.
