Agios Silas is a popular village of Parakandia almost 15 kilometres away of Heraklion and more specifically at 569 metres hight at the outskirts of Yiouhtas.
The village with the rich history has mostly residents from Mikra Asia who are mainly occupied with the growth of currant.
Agios Silas is the oldest village of 13th century and it is traced at the 2nd Byzantine season of Crete but the archaeological fιndings trace the village back at pre Christian season.
