Almost 15 km from Heraklion center and some meters before the Palaiokastro rock, a small beautiful beach is hiding that not many know about, Chelidoni.

The visitors of Chelidoni, which is right under the main road Heraklion – Rethimno, can’t believe that this idyllic place is so close to the city.

The sandy beach with the small pebbles has green–blue waters and big rocks at each of its sides. Although Chelidoni is small, it is well organized with umbrellas and sunbeds, while also there is a small canteen at its coastline.
