28 km east of Rethimno and very close to the main road Heraklion – Rethimno, is located the almost unknown beach of Spilies or else Tou Maliou to Riaki.

Spilies which are surrounded by big tall rocks is an impressive small beach with pebbles and deep beautiful waters. Its special characteristic is the fact that at both sides many beautiful caves are shaped, in which the Mediterranean Monk Seal finds shelter.  

The beach is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds while also you can find a canteen at its small coast.
