Souda beach is formed in the homonymous bay, located on the southern coast, about 36 kilometers away from the city of Rethymnon. The beach is known for the small palm grove on the estuary of Fikikas river to the west of the beach.
The beach is quite long in length, sandy with shallow clear waters. It is well organized and around it there are several taverns and rented rooms, visited by many people during the summer months. The rocky arrays at both ends of the beach as well as at some points of the sea awaken the interest for exploring of the visitor.
