The ancient city of Tylisos was built 16 west of Heraklion a location that was chosen based on the fact that Tylisos was connecting Knossos with the west side of the town.
Based on the findings the town seems to haδ a great water supply and drain system while also it is believed to be a big center of coppersmith during Minoan times.
Some very important findings have been discovered to Tylisos such as a big copper boiler, a large jar engraved in Linear A, graves and clay vessels which all seem to be leading to the connection between Tylisos and Knossos.
